The SRN News (Salem Radio) team is producing a series of the year’s Top Stories that will be part of a new seven-part series, “2018: The Year-In-Review.” All seven of the one-minute segments will be available to air the week December 24 through December 31.

Provident Music Group/Sony Music has received eight nominations for the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards. Provident artists recognized are Zach Williams (Best Contemporary Christian Album), Tauren Wells (Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song), Koryn Hawthorne (Best Gospel Performance/Song) and producers / songwriters Jason Ingram and Paul Mabury (Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album). Other nominations were also given to Kirk Franklin, The Walls Group, Ran Jackson, Ethan Hulse and Jonathan Smith.
Jill Smith said goodbye to fellow staff at KVNE/Tyler today. Jill says, “It’s been an unbelievable 8
years at 89.5 KVNE! I will miss seeing these amazing people every day. I’m returning to an old chapter and starting with 3M Company in the Electrical Markets Division.” Jill announced her departure from KVNE on November 28th.
KHCB/Houston staff member, Jim Lingenfelter, went to be with the Lord early this morning. KHCB staff says, “We rejoice that he is out of his suffering and at home with the Lord, but we will miss him. Please pray for his two sons, Jimmy and Andy, and their wives and children. Jim’s wife, Patricia, passed away in 2012.” Jim was with KHCB about 25 years as volunteer coordinator and also ran the board in the afternoon.
