The Salem Radio Network will provide coverage for the January 20th Inauguration of Joe Biden as President of the United States…including Special Reports from both SRN News and TOWNHALL News, …live updates, and wall-to-wall coverage of the 12 Noon ceremony administering the Oath Of Office, followed by the new President’s Inaugural address.

Although as affiliates may consider the plan outlined below to be “carved in stone,” we all are aware that tensions are high following recent events in Washington—including last week’s violent demonstrations at the U.S. Capitol and this week’s snap 2nd impeachment of President Donald J. Trump.

Already the Capitol resembles an armed camp, with 15,000 armed National Guard troops patrolling and another 5,000 slated to arrive over the weekend.  D.C. officials have announced that the entire National Mall will be closed and all 13 Metrorail lines will be shut down. Bus service within the District will be rerouted, and even credentialed reporters like SRN’s U.S. Senate correspondent Bob Agnew have been advised to avoid displaying their Media lanyards…and to “be prepared for hazards such as pepper spray, tear gas, impact projectiles and water cannon that could be used by law enforcement responding to unruly crowds.”

GRAMMY Award®-winning artist Zach Williams wrapped 2020 with another No. 1 song, a GRAMMY nomination, two GMA Dove Award® wins and more, his 2021 is already off to a great start. It was just announced that the multi-week chart-topping and GRAMMY-nominated song “There Was Jesus,” his duet with Dolly Parton, has received RIAA® Gold Certification. “Chain Breaker” is RIAA-certified Platinum, while “Old Church Choir” and “Fear Is A Liar” are both Gold. Chain Breaker, his GRAMMY-winning album, is also certified Gold.
