At WBGL/Champaign Lindsey Capperrune announces she is leaving her position as morning co-host effective this Friday and relocate to Peoria. Lindsey has co-hosted the WBGL morning show with Johnathon Eltrevoog for the last seven years and has been with WBGL for about 10 years. WBGL has started a search for a new morning co-host, if interested check HERE.
Ryan Smith is the new afternoon announcer at WRMB/West Palm Beach (Moody Radio South Florida). Ryan told HisAir, “I recently accepted a position with WRMB. Prior, I worked for Moody Radio Network as a voice on the Praise and Worship Channel as well as overseeing social media for Moody Radio. We moved to South Florida when I accepted a role with a local church. I will be the afternoon announcer for MR South FL”
WGCA/Quincy, IL (The Mix) underwriting and development director Bob Daly has transitioned to the Executive Director position. Great Commission Broadcasting Corporation (WGCA) founder Bruce Rice and wife Maxine (who has served as the station’s associate director), are retiring but will remain active on a part-time basis. The Rice’s helped found the station in 1987.
Daly had a long and history tied to various business interests across West-Central Illinois, from helping manage eight Hardee’s restaurants to running a local hotel. He joined WGCA over 5 five years ago and said, “I found WGCA was more than a radio station — it is a help for people. The music and programming WGCA offers help provide a peace for many people.”
“Gospel Radio Favorites” hosted by Brian Crowe is now a part of the Armed Forces Radio Network. Gospel Radio Favorites will be aired on the AFN Satellite Channel 132 and sent to over 1,500 + military stations around the world. Brian says, “I am humbled and honored to see the continued growth of GRF. It’s an honor to support our brave men and women who currently serve around the world with the greatest music in the world. My son serves in the Army, along with many of my relatives who have served or is currently serving, this is near and dear to my heart…Thank you to our military!”
