CBI Launches Hope Radio Network

As reported on HisAir, Christian Broadcasting, Inc. based in Anchorage, AK launched the Hope Radio Network and KCBR/Fairbanks (90.7 FM). KCBR is a 10,000-watt station that will reach Fairbanks, North Pole, Eielson Air Force Base, & Fort Wainwright.

Tom Steigleman, General Manager at Christian Broadcasting said “We’ve been praying for a radio station in Fairbanks for about twenty years. In February 2022, God blessed us with a construction permit for KCBR-FM, then two months later we unexpectantly acquired KJNP-TV Channel 4 in Fairbanks! Once we had rebuilt KJNP-TV, we began working on the concept of the Hope Radio Network and the construction of KCBR. Our listeners and sponsors caught the vision for Fairbanks and not only supplied all of the funds needed for the construction of KCBR, but they have also supplied the first year’s operational budget! God’s timing is perfect!”

The Hope Radio Network airs a mix of local and national teaching programs and modern Praise & Worship music. The Hope Radio Network can be heard on 91.7 FM in Anchorage, 88.9 FM in Palmer & Wasilla, 90.7 in Fairbanks, and all around the world at HopeRadioNetwork.org. Christian Broadcasting, Inc. also owns three radio stations in Anchorage, KATB 89.3 (Teaching), KAFC 93.7 (CCM), & KVNT 1020 (News/Talk) and also manages KCFT-TV in Anchorage.
