WPER God’s Pit Crew Hurricane Relief

Exactly one week before Hurricane Harvey was poised to barrel into cities on the Texas coast, WPER/Fredericksburg (Your ‘PER) listeners opened their hearts and donated a tractor trailer full of supplies to prepare God’s Pit Crew for the next major disaster. Over 500 blessing buckets were filled plus additional supplies, and over $1700 in cash donations were given between the two locations in Fredericksburg and Mechanicsville.

God’s Pit Crew is a Virginia based disaster relief team that is sending relief to victims of Harvey. In addition to the blessing bucket drive, Your ‘PER will be hosting a special one day fundraiser to continue to send blessing buckets and relief through God’s Pit Crew to hurting families.
