WGRC Fan Appreciation Day

WGRC/Lewisburg hosted PLG artists CAIN for its annual free summer concert “Fan Appreciation Day” on Friday, July 30. This annual concert is usually held at Knoebles, a local amusement park in Elysburg, PA. However, due to restrictions on numbers, it was moved to a local church that has an outdoor stage, Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton, PA.

WGRC marketing director Stephanie Hines says, “For a while we were praying for a beautiful day in the 70s with low humidity and no precipitation. Some people said “sure…. But good luck, it’s the end of July!”. But as CAIN sings: “Did He move every mountain? Did He part every sea? Yes, He did.. So yes, He can” And yes, God delivered a beautiful day that was just what we prayed for: high 70s, low humidity and no precipitation. God showed up and people were blessed. The church support was unbelievable in many ways, including helping track number of salvations.”

With food trucks, inflatables for the kids and plenty of space to stretch out while listening to a variety of local groups, Fan Appreciation Day brought out around 3,000 people. This is the largest event WGRC has personally hosted. On average at Knoebles, we would see about 1,200.
