WAY FM Portland Names New GM

Chief Operating Officer Lloyd Parker has announced that Michael Tedesco has been named WAY-FM Portland General Manager. Tedesco, a graduate of Pepperdine University, was most recently Sales Manager at Star 99.1 WAWZ in Zarephath, NJ. He has also served as Business Development Director for K-LOVE and Air 1Networks and Sales/Promotions/Marketing Director at KCMS in Seattle.

Tedesco noted, “I am thrilled to be joining the amazing team at WAY-FM!  Together, we’ll be reaching people with the message of hope in Jesus!”

WAY Media recently purchased 96.3 KWEE in Portland and changed the call letters to KKWA. The new signal has added over 1,200,000 people within the coverage area including many areas not covered by the former translator signal.

The upgraded signal strengthened the coverage of the Portland metro and expanded the outreach into southern Washington to near Longview/Kelso and south into northern Oregon including McMinnville, Salem and areas south and southwest of Portland when WAY-FM went live early October.

WAY-FM Western Regional Manager Zach Cochran added, “Our stronger signal in Portland brings new opportunities for ministry and community impact and I am excited that Michael will be leading us into these new opportunities.”

WAY-FM (part of WAY Media, Inc.) reaches into over 50 communities on FM signals in 12 states. WAY-FM owns and operates stations in many top 100 markets including Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver, Portland, Nashville, West Palm Beach, Louisville, Ft. Myers and Huntsville.
