Travis Culver Benefir Concert A Huge Success

From Benefit Concert organizer Bill Scott of ShareMedia: To say the benefit concert for Travis Culver was a success was an understatement.  the event sold out in just two weeks thanks to KTSY in Boise.

I believe all those in attendance would agree that God showed up in a big way.  The benefit concert featured Ryan Stevenson opening and For King and Country closing out the night.  A video was shown between Ryan and For King and Country featuring many radio personalities who sent their own personal videos for Travis, very moving to say the least.   Videos came in from radio folks from London, the USA and Australia.  Michelle Younkman representing CMB had this to say, “I will always look back on May 5 with fond memories. Not only a day of celebrating Travis Culver and his precious family but also a day when our Christian music industry came together to support our friend and fellow broadcaster. Bill Scott, Jerry Woods, Brian Yeager and the KTSY family, Mike Agee, Bob Christler and many of our radio professionals showing what true community looks like. Plus, the guys from for KING & COUNTRY gave of themselves in a way I have not witnessed before. They truly live out their song, “Proof of Your Love.”

Towards the beginning of the evening Jerry Woods and Bill Scott asked the 1500 in attendance to give whatever they could in an offering as well as those watching the live streaming video that was carried by many radio stations on their websites.

At the end of the evening KTSY, their staff, Bill Scott, Jerry Woods, Michelle Younkman from CMB, Ryan Stevenson and For King and Country presented Travis and his family with a check for $42,000 which has now grown to over $50,000 along with a Christian education at a local Christian School in partnership with KTSY for Travis’s kids through grade 12.  Many tears were shed.

After the final song from For King and Country, everyone who helped to put on the concert came out on stage and prayed for Travis’s healing and for his family.

Luke Smallbone from For King and Country said, “This was the most amazing night and what I felt out there, I’ll never forget.”  It was a true miracle to see how just about everything was donated for the night.  No doubt Travis and his family are loved and God showed up big time.
