Strong Tower Christian Media Changing Things Up

After nearly 6 decades Strong Tower Christian Media is changing things up.

Both WEEC and WFCJ, serving Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus Ohio have moved from mixed Christian formats to focused formats.  WFCJ (93.7 The Light) has moved to all Christian Teaching /Talk for Dayton and Cincinnati. This line-up features the teaching and Christian talk including Dave Ramsey live, Greg Laurie, Janet Parshall, David Jeremiah, Focus on the Family,  Rick Warren, Chuck Swindoll etc… It also includes radio drama such as Adventures in Odyssey, Lamplighter Theatre, and Unshackled! In addition WFCJ will feature a live, local morning drive program Life Together anchored by long time Cincinnati radio veteran Jim Smith.

WEEC has moved to all music in the first phase of their transition in Dayton/Columbus.  On June 17th WEEC (Hope 100.7) started playing 10,007 songs in a row uninterrupted to signal a change. When the 10.007 songs is complete the music intensive format consisting primarily of  Hope – Filled Familiar Favorites will feature a new cast of on-air talent encouraging and interacting with the audience all day and evening long.  WEEC will also have short features from favorite Bible teachers whose long form programs can be heard on sister station WFCJ.

Simultaneous with these over the air changes, both stations have launched interactive mobile apps, are streaming 6 different formats from their websites and added a new HD channel for all teaching/talk.

“Change is hard to get used to”, said Strong Tower Christian Media CEO Tracy Figley. “But we’ve been fortunate with two 50,000 watt stations we haven’t had to give up either format.  After two years of prayer, research and Godly counsel this is where God is leading to increase both station’s audiences and our impact for the Kingdom in our little corner of His harvest field!”
