Reed Joins KJRN For Afternoons
KJRN/Keene, TX (88.3 The Journey) in the Dallas-Ft Worth metro, has signed Frank Reed to host it’s afternoon show weekdays 3-7pm. Most recently Frank hosted “Keep The Faith” Sunday mornings on KLTY/Dallas. That ended with the sale of KLTY from Salem to EMF Feb 1st.
KJRN Station Manager Rich Hooper told HisAir, “Frank has been a good friend for many years, and I’m excited to be working with him again! He’s one of the best communicators I know, and so many of our listeners have expressed their anticipation of hearing him on the radio again!”
Frank will be voicing afternoons and doing public appearances for KJRN. He’ll also be host live during the stations Spring Celebration, April 8 -10.
Frank is most known in Christian Radio as the longtime KLTY morning host making his final sign off on Dec 23, 2022 after 21 years of wake-ups.
In a 2020 HisAir interview Frank said, “Personally this is the most fun and fulfilling time in all my years here. ‘Frank, Starlene, and Hudson in the Morning’ (the brainchild of my boss, Mike Prendergast) is breaking barriers and reaching a very diverse and mainstream audience. I’ve always enjoyed what I do, but now so more than ever.”
The move to join KJRN reunites Frank with former KLTY PD Mike Prendergast who recently became KJRN’s consultant.
Before joining KLTY Frank spent time at secular stations WWDJ/New York, WOCL/Orlando, WNBC/New York, WMJX/Miami, and others.
Frank’s first show on KJRN will be Monday March 31st.
