Reach FM Going Off The Air

3-29-16news1After 12 years on the air ReachFM, a ministry of Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale will end broadcasting in South Florida on Wednesday, March 30th. ReachFM aired on stations and translators in Miami, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, among others.

Calvary Chapel has made the decision to assign their support to other outreach ministries besides radio.  The ministry has been working hard with radio station staff to ensure their transition to a new role, either at the church or at another opportunity.

ReachFM PD Matt McNeilly tells HisAir.Net, “Our team is saddened, but we know that God has big plans for each of us. God is going to continue to do great things in So. Florida and His message will be broadcasted throughout the area on great radio stations like WAY-FM, KLOVE, and Moody. It has been my pleasure to lead an amazing team here”

It’s expected the radio network will be sold off in pieces, and reportedly has a number of buyers that are being considered. They will be both mainstream and Christian broadcasters.

Most of the ReachFM team will be staying in South Florida and finding other opportunities within the church or within the area. Matt plans to look outside the area and can be contacted at matt@reachfm.org.
