Novak To Retire From EMF

Business Wire is reporting today that EMF CEO Mike Novak plans to retire in the coming months.

Novak tweeted: “I know there is a season for everything and my season for leading this organization is coming to an end. I am looking forward to serving EMF in an emeritus role, staying involved in the broadcasting world, and spending more time with my amazing wife, Cheri, and my family.”

The EMF Board of Directors will search for a successor while Novak continues as CEO and assisting with the search.  

Mike has been with EMF since 1998 in various positions including air talent, PD, network program director, vice president of programming, and senior VP, and became CEO in 2007.  In his time as CEO Novak led EMF growth to more than 800 stations in all 50 states.
