New Online Station Launches In Fort Wayne
WBCL/Fort Wayne has launched a new online radio station today.
Fort WaynesRhythmandPraise.org (FWRP.org) went live this morning Monday, May 21st. The first broadcast was the “live” Morning Show, “Mo in the Morning” from 6 AM to 10 AM. Immediately following the morning show will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 AM.
Local leaders Joe Jordan, Iric Headly, Mayor Tom Henry and Dr. Rev. Luther Whitfield and fwrp.org staff members who brought the new urban gospel radio station to life will speak at the ceremony. The ribbon cutting will be held at the WBCL studios
Fort WaynesRhythmandPraise.org is a sister station of WBCL and both are subsidiaries of Taylor University Broadcasting Incorporated. This brand-new, online urban gospel music station was created to serve the approximately 40,000 people within the African American community in Fort Wayne and Allen county.
WBCL teamed with local African American leaders in developing fwrp.org with the vision to apply the same mission as WBCL, presented with quality and integrity in a culturally specific manner. To encourage those who are walking in the faith and to add to the family of God through the witness of relevant community information, encouragement and music that ministers to the soul.
The mission of FWRP.org is to communicate God’s redemptive love and truth through captivating media that inform, entertain, challenge, inspire and encourage.
