Moody Radio Adds New Morning Show In Some Markets
Moody Radio stations in select markets will add “Solomon and Dawn Mornings” to their line-up starting July 9.
Based out of Moody Radio in Nashville, Solomon and Dawn (Steven Solomon & Dawn Rae) will be heard weekdays, from 6 to 9 a.m. CT, bringing personal, uplifting and biblically-based content to these markets that have previously not had a live morning show.
Moody Radio stations WMBI/Chicago, WMBW/Chattanooga, WCRF/Cleveland, WKES/Florida, WRMB/FLauderdale, WGNB/Grand Rapids, WGNR/Indianapolis, WFCM/Nashvile, WDLM/Quad Cities, and KMBI/Spokane are not affected by the changes.
National programs including Equipped with Chris Brooks, Chris Fabry Live, MoneyWise Live, In the Market with Janet Parshall, Kurt Goff Live and others will continue to air at their regular times in the station’s line-up.
“This historic expansion continues our reputation as an industry leader,” said Doug Hastings, vice president of Moody Radio. “Moody Radio pioneered the idea of a Christian radio network in 1982 when it offered continuous Christian programming via satellite to stations in North America. Until now, programming to our stations where we do not have staff has been rather generic, and has not sounded like a fully programmed radio station.” He added, “Through a lineup created specifically for this group of stations we will dramatically improve our reach in those areas.”
Steven Solomon and Dawn Rae have been together on WFCM since April of this year. Rae, who previously hosted the morning show worked for six years at Moody Radio in Nashville.
“The opportunity to have a live, national morning show in communities where we had limited programming is a tremendous opportunity to minister to listeners on a more personal level,” added Dan Craig, manager of programming for Moody Radio. “For the first time listeners will have a deeper, more interactive relationship with Moody Radio and we are excited about what the Lord will do as a result.”
