Mission Network News to Change Ownership
On June 1, 2016, One Way Ministries of Naperville, IL will acquire and assume ownership and operations of Mission Network News. For the past 20 years, Cornerstone University has been the ministry partner of Mission Network News. MNN is both a radio broadcast and online site providing up-to-date daily news of God’s work around the world. It received NRB’s International Impact award in 2012 and NRB’s Radio Program Of The Year (short form) in 2009.
MNN Executive Director Chris Lemke says, “After months of vetting options and possible ministry partners resourced well enough to grow MNN, One Way Ministries was the clear choice to fulfill Cornerstone’s dreams and One Way Ministries’ aspirations to engage and equip more people to serve Jesus Christ and His directive to share the Gospel around the world.” In assessing MNN’s future for growth along with other educational programs, Cornerstone realized it had resourced MNN as much as it could, knowing there was even greater potential for MNN to thrive.
With exception to a change replacing Cornerstone University’s name with that of One Way Ministries in both the broadcasts and online platforms, there are no immediate changes planned. Mission Network News will still provide its 4½, 2 and 1 minute news programs (hosted by MNN’s current host, Ruth Kramer), and continue to provide these same stories and more on MNN’s website.
Merging the excellence and global influence of MNN’s broadcast and online content with its existing network of people and resources, One Way Ministries will capitalize on the strength of both ministries’ audio and video platforms to enhance and advance its overall ability in connecting people to engage and become active participants in what God is doing around the world.
One Way Ministries is an organization called to reach people through a variety of Christ-centered ministries and partnerships from around the world and see multitudes come to know and love Jesus Christ. One Way does so by fueling global prayer movements through Prayercast.com, by producing music and hosting worship events, and by equipping volunteers and interns from across the country to share the Gospel.
