Love FM Adds New Signal to Tri Cities Coverage

WHCB/Bristol (Love FM), the Tri-Cities’ Christian music radio station, announces the acquisition of a brand new signal that reaches the entire Tri-Cities Tennessee area.

The new signal, 97.3 FM, covers areas of the Tri-Cities that the station’s other two signals, 100.3 FM (Kingsport) and 103.3 FM (Bristol/Abingdon), could not cover.

Matthew Hill, Love FM’s General Manager, says the new signal is a huge help in reaching the mission of Love FM. “Love FM’s mission is to help share the great, life-changing news of Jesus Christ with the thousands of people who call the Tri-Cities home. With the addition of 97.3 FM, our signal now extends to Piney Flats, Elizabethton, Johnson City and into Southwest Virginia. We are thrilled to now say we can reach over 500,000 listeners in our area.”

Mike Perry, Love FM’s Program Director and Afternoon Host, says that Love FM’s signal is an exciting addition for many in the Love FM listening audience. “Listeners have been asking us for over a year to expand Love FM’s signal so their friends and family in Johnson City and Elizabethton and parts of Virginia could hear their new favorite station. We are so happy to finally be able to let the rest of the Tri-Cities enjoy the station that many in Kingsport, Bristol and Abingdon have been listening to for almost 2 years! Listeners keep telling us they “LOVE” their Love FM! ”

George West, Love FM’s midday host, stated, “The Love FM listening audience will be able to hear the great music and information from Love FM in the total Tri-Cities area.  This is a great addition to the station’s outreach for Christ.”

Mike Perry and Hannah Ayers, the co-hosts of the “Music and Life” program every weekday afternoon from 3-8 PM, will make the official announcement about the signal on the air this Friday at 5:10 PM.

Love FM’s daily weekday lineup includes, The Wally Show (6-10 AM); The Midday Show with George West (10 AM- 3 PM); “Music and Life” with Mike Perry and Hannah Ayers (3-8 PM) and “Keeping the Faith with Penny” (8 PM- 1 AM).
