KVNE/KGLY Disaster Response Team

Six tornados struck the East Texas area Saturday April 29th. KVNE/KGLY/Tyler was on the air with live coverage of the storms as they were approaching and in the wake of the disaster Saturday night. The KVNE/KGLY Prayer team was on the ground the next day with Prayer and Information Station and help with coordinating donations coming into the Canton area.

A KVNE Representative is also imbedded in the chainsaw teams that are clearing debris with call ins from behind the scenes and at the prayer tents on the air. The KVNE Volunteer Crew has also met the first needs of volunteers at shelters [the team had just completed their Fundraiser the night before the storms struck and as exhausted as the team was, they jumped to help their community, and are on the scene every day with information on the website, facebook and Instagram to help keep people informed as requests for volunteers and supplies change.
