The 98,5 KTIS/Minneapolis staff and over 200 volunteers revitalized a community in the heart of the Twin Cities for the Union Gospel Mission as part of the Hands & Feet community service outreach campaign. Playgrounds are safer, flower beds are flourishing, picnic tables are freshly painted and plants were delivered to families in the neighborhood. It’s now a beautiful place for families served by Union Gospel Mission’s Community Center.
For almost 80 years, the community center has been a safe place of hope for kids needing Christ-centered programs and after school activities. Students have access to educational and enrichment activities through sports, broadcast media, computer training, visual arts and bible study. Weekly barbecues for families are offered in the summer to further support discipleship.
