KSLR Welcomes Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band

While the country was under arctic ice and snow, Bill Gaither and the Gaither Vocal Band made a run through Texas last week. KSLR/San Antonio (AM 630 The Word), Salem San Antonio) had the honor of interviewing one-half of the first ever ASCAP Song Writers of the Century (Bill and Gloria), as Dr. Gaither talked about traveling in the 60s vs today, singing “Because He Lives” at Billy Graham’s Memorial, and a special prayer for the Country.  At the concert every song was a glorious sing-a-long including “He Touched Me” and “The King is Coming”, plus a few surprises like “Chain Breaker” and the Janny Grein/Imperials classic “Bread Upon The Water”.  People actually stood for a little while.  Actually it was all wonderful with the thrill to witness the man who helped write the American Songbook of CCM.
