KLOVE Debuts New Show Today

KLOVE debuts a new show to their on air lineup today. “Jeff & Randi” will take the 1-6pm PT shift.

The duo consists of Randi Tyler and Jeff Detrow. Tyler joined KLOVE last year for nights (6-mid) replacing Larry Wayne who announced he was retiring after 21 years at K-LOVE. Larry is still heard on weekends at KLOVE. Tyler previously held positions with KFSH/Los Angeles (95.9 The Fish) and WRVE/Albany, NY.

Jeff Detrow was part of the longtime “Jeff & Jer Showgram” airing on mainstream AC radio mainly on KFMB/San Diego. Jerry “Jer” Cesak, retired as Showgram co-host in 2015 just before the show was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame. The Jeff and Jer Showgram then reinvented itself as “Jeff and the Showgram” after Cesak left. The program was last heard on KYXY/San Diego ending its run their last June.

On Facebook Detrow posted “When it became apparent that our show wasn’t going to find a new home in San Diego, my wife Kris and I prayed like never before, with a different commitment, that God would take this and lead us to where He would have us. Then, on a Monday morning at 8:33, I got a text. “Would you be interested in coming to work for K-LOVE?”

At press time it wasn’t announced how the new show affected the rest of the on air schedule…
