KLJY & KXBS Expand Staff

KLJY/St. Louis (JOY 99.1) and sister station KXBS/St. Louis (BOOST radio) have added two talents to their programming teams.

JD Hanks joins the team and will oversee production and imaging for both brands. Hanks joins after departing WLNK/Charlotte (Mix 107.9). He previously held down production roles for The Mix Group, Gorilla Sound Productions, and WHBQ/Memphis (Q107.5), was on-air at KSAS/Boise (KISS FM), and served with the WAY FM network for a decade.

Also joining the team, Sean “Scooda” Thomas, a staple of the St. Louis radio scene for the past decade. Scooda will be the new midday personality for BOOST’s network of stations, heard on FM and HD signals in six markets. Scooda slides over from iHeart’s KATZ/St Louis (100.3 The Beat) and Hallelujah 1600; he previously held down afternoons on Salem’s Praise 95.1 in St Louis.

99.1 JOY FM (KLJY) and BOOST 95.5 (KXBS) are locally owned and operated by Gateway Creative Broadcasting, based in St. Louis, MO. Through a partnership with EMF, BOOST also simulcasts in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Portland, Pittsburgh, and Fayetteville, NC.
