KGGN Celebrates 5 Years!

KGGN/Hemet, CA (102.5 The Vine) is celebrating five years of broadcast ministry in Southwest Riverside County. KGGN launched in 2018 is a non-commercial, nonprofit broadcast ministry licensed to Cornerstone Church in Hemet, CA, and funded by local supporters, both business and individual.

Local radio veteran Chris Thompson has served as the General Manager of 102.5 The Vine since September 2020. “We are thankful for God’s hand of providence over this ministry, our community, and those who have been blessed over the last five years through The Vine,” Thompson says.

As part of its continuing mission to serve Southwest Riverside County, 102.5 The Vine regularly holds community-wide events that promote giving and a caring spirit in its listener area. “Over the air, through our app, and our various streaming platforms, anyone can be touched by the hope and encouragement heard in every song we play. Our local mission to serve our community compels us to partner with our listeners to serve people they don’t know,” Thompson says.

102.5 The Vine holds three large-scale community-wideservice events per year. Their most recent event, the $25,000 Gift Card Giveaway, partnered with listeners who provided one $25 gift card each. The Vine then gave the gift cards to local nonprofits, who used them to serve their clients who needed transportation, groceries, and clothing. The Vine has also held diaper drives, collections for school supplies, provided food to local food pantries, and collected water bottles for our homeless population, cooling centers, and first responders.
