KFNW Cleanup Week
KFNW/Fargo (Life 97.9) partnered with New Life Center Thrift Store at Luther Family Ford to kick off Cleanup Week in Fargo. New Life Center helps people who are homeless and hurting go from merely surviving to truly thriving.
Listeners responded by donating 15,000 pounds of items which filled two small trucks, as well as one semi-truck. Additionally, Profile by Sanford, Fargo Moorhead Association of Realtors, Arnhalt Transport, Salvation Army, and Team Boaz were Stuff the Truck sponsors and participants.
Tom O’Keefe, New Life Center Operations Director, said, “Stuff the Truck was incredible this year. We probably had 10,000 pounds in clothing and small household item donations. This will allow us to continue to provide for our guests and the community throughout the winter. We could not be more thankful to Life 97.9 and all the partners involved in the event this year.”
Life 97.9 Listener Engagement Director, Carly Viland, said, “Even with Stuff the Truck being rescheduled for the fall, it was encouraging to see how many listeners are passionate about helping others in Cass and Clay counties through their donations of gently used items which will benefit so many.”
