KCBI Day of 5,000 Bibles
This year the annual KCBI/Dallas Day of 5,000 Bibles took place on Jan. 22nd. KCBI staff and volunteers fanned out at local Salvation Army Family Stores to distribute Bibles in English and Spanish to individuals and organizations.
“We thought they would go quickly, so we loaded up extra Bibles,” said Sharon Geiger, KCBI’s outreach director and assistant general manager. “Within two hours, almost all of them were gone!”
Listeners picked up more than 6,200 Bibles – the most KCBI has ever distributed in one day – to give away at pregnancy resource centers, prison ministries, homeless ministries and other organizations.
“We are so incredibly grateful that God would allow us to be part of the process of inviting people to receive truth, and honored that our listeners are just as passionate about being involved,” said KCBI Program Director Kelly Corday. “During a ‘Day of 5,000 Bibles,’ more than 6,000 were distributed! That’s God doing abundantly more than we could imagine.
