K-LOVE to Enter Tampa Market
Educational Media Foundation (EMF) has entered into a Definitive agreement to purchase WPBB/Tampa (98.7) from Beasley Media Group. The transaction will mark EMF’s first entry into the Tampa Bay market.

We anticipate K-LOVE’s positive and encouraging Christian format will become a welcomed, safe place to land for listeners in this fantastic city.”
WPBB is a class C2 operating at 47kw @ 463 ft above average terrain. The selling price has not been disclosed.
Beasley Media Group has owned and operated WPBB since acquiring the station since 2014.

The sale is expected to officially close by the end of 2025, pending FCC approval.
Klove won’t be happy till they take over the whole US, put more and more Christian employees out of work, and try and shut down more Christian stations so they can be the only one.
I still remember when KLove had a NASCAR, Michael McDowell, the driver, told me at the race in Daytona, he loves KLove so much because they will not go into a market that already has a good Christian radio station. I just had to laugh. I guess they’re definition of a good Christian station meant they weren’t there 😂
It sounds like you think they go in and gobble up these stations all willy nilly. Beasley asked to sell and asked EMF to buy. Pretty standard stuff. Nothing nefarious here.
