Jon Rivers Leaving 20 The Countdown

After 35 years behind the mic at “20 The Countdown Magazine” host Jon Rivers has announced he is stepping away. Jon says challenging “physical setbacks” and other “heartbreaks” contributed to his decision.

The new host will be William Ryan III (pictured below). Ryan is a former on air talent, music director, APD at KLTY/Dallas. He also produced Jon’s morning show at KLTY and has been a fill-in for Jon at  “20 The Countdown Magazine”.  William says, “I’m so grateful for Jon and this opportunity to take on something God gave him 35 years ago. It’s an honor that he would trust me to carry it on so I can’t wait to see what God does in this next chapter of the countdown!”

A farewell “together” show is scheduled to air next weekend. Then William will officially start hosting “solo” starting in September 1st.
