WCIC/Peoria invited listeners to donate funds to cover the cost of a concert with the band Unspoken.  The donation page went live Thursday (July 20) at 9:00 am, and the cost of the concert was completely covered before 11:00 the same morning.

“The response was amazing,” said Jessie Browning, WCIC Community Engagement Director. “Before we had even started accepting donations, listeners were calling and emailing, asking how they could help make the concert possible. The WCIC Community is eager to show God’s love to these women, and we can’t wait to see how God is going to work through this event!”

The listener-funded concert will take place in two installments on Sunday, August 20, to accommodate as many inmates as possible. The band Unspoken is donating a large portion of their usual booking fee to offer the afternoon of music and ministry.
