The JOY FM/Florida PD Dave Cruse tells HisAir the morning show (Bill, Dave & Carmen) were able to do their show live from the station studios today as the effects of Hurricane Ian hit the area. Dave says tomorrow may be a different story as weather conditions worsen through the day. The JOY FM afternoon host Jayar is also doing updates from his remote studio at home. Jayar says, “I have 5 strips of sweet tart ropes left if I ration. My timer will alert me every 5 hours and that will get me through.”

WPOZ/Orlando (Z88.3) CEO Jim Hoge tells HisAir, “We are in hurricane mode. WPOZ is fully fueled, locked down, and doubled staffed 25/7 (Florida time)!”

God’s Pit Crew is watching Ian very closely as it closes in on the Florida Coast and is preparing for a response. Watch COO Brandon Nuckles HERE.

Please join HisAir and keep all those affected by Hurricane Ian (Cat. 4 Hurricane w/ Winds 130mph+ and 10-12 storm surge) in your thoughts & prayers.

Gospel Radio Favorites host Brian Crowe is live at National Quartet Convention (NQC) 2022 officially happening this week at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN. Brian is interviewing many Southern Gospel artists including Joseph Habedank (pictured below).

NQC – the National Quartet Convention – was founded in 1957 by gospel music legend and former backup vocalist for Elvis Presley, J.D. Sumner, who co-produced the event with James Blackwood. The annual convention was moved in later years to Nashville, TN, and then to Louisville, KY, where it was held for 20 years. NQC is currently held at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge, TN.
