Family Life Ministries, Inc. (NY/PA) is celebrating God’s blessing on their recent campaign with Bible League International that raised enough funds to send more than 5,000 bibles to impoverished nations around the world where people are craving God’s word. 

Family Life’s Director of Radio Operations, Dave Margalotti says, “our goal for this campaign was 2,000 bibles in just 3 weeks. Finishing above the 5,000 mark has left us in awe of God’s provision and goodness. We are honored to support Bible League International in their mission to changes lives by sharing the gospel. To God Be the Glory”!

WCIC/Peoria afternoon host Jordan Pride, who also is a talented musician, won the 2024 “Sing Your Song” Contest. The award is presented by Rixon Entertainment Group, a PR firm in artist management, branding, social media, networking, distribution, and digital marketing. 

Jordan grew up in rural Illinois and started singing at a young age singing in church or performing in musicals. He’s always looking for ways to share God’s love through creative expression. A Hillsong college graduate, he is pursuing many avenues, including songwriting in Nashville. 

At Salem Media/Twin Cities Chloe Wikstrom has left the Office Coordinator position. Chloe has decided to leave the industry. 

A new report titled “Connected Car Entertainment Trends,” released by DTS, Inc., a subsidiary of Xperi Inc, delves into how U.S. consumers engage with audio, video, and gaming while in their vehicles. Based on surveys conducted by Xperi, the findings were presented by DTS and Xperi executives during an Automotive News webinar on June 11.

According to the report, the vast majority of consumers surveyed listen to some type of audio in the car with AM/FM radio leading that charge. Nearly 70% tune into AM/FM to listen to music, compared to 53% opting for music streaming services and 30% for satellite radio. But, in spite of audio’s dominance, other in-vehicle entertainment formats are rapidly growing, especially video and gaming.
