WAAW/Augusta GA flips formats back to Gospel as Shout 94.7.
Gospel played on WAAW from 2002 but after 23 years the station changed to sports in July 2023.
WAAW was founded by the legendary R&B artist James Brown, WAAW Shout 94.7 has continued on for 30 years,
WAAW was originally an R&B radio station owned by James Brown but transitioned to a gospel format after ownership changed in 1995. The station not only played gospel music but also featured worship programming and sermons from local pastors.

The One Voice Awards is an awards ceremony which celebrates talent in the industry at all levels. The winners will be announced Sat Aug 23rd in Dallas.
Starting May 23, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will increase all application fees by 17.41%, following a federal law requiring biennial inflation-based adjustments. This comes after a previous 11.59% fee hike two years ago, with the new rates based on the Consumer Price Index.
Fees that are less than $200 are not being adjusted.

KSBJ and NGEN DJs Spend Three Days Homeless On Houston Streets
For three days and two nights, KSBJ/Houston Morning co-host Carder Price and sister station NGEN Radio/Houston Morning personality Ayana Mack went undercover on Houston’s streets, to understand the plight of Houston’s homeless population. KSBJ and NGEN along with Star of Hope invited listeners to look through the eyes of Houston’s homeless, as they walked in their shoes and discovered how to serve the least of these.
