Bott Radio Network (BRN) broadened its reach of its Christian Talk Radio network by introducing a new full-power KCWP/West Plains, Missouri, broadcasting at 91.1 FM. Boasting 16,000 watts of power, this addition significantly enhances BRN’s signal strength, delivering their signature blend of Christian  programming to audiences across Southeast Missouri and Northeast Arkansas.

Bott Radio Network began serving families in West Plains in 2016 with the launch of a low power “translator” station at 96.1 FM. This new full power station KCWP is a major upgrade in our service to West Plains and beyond.
“We are always excited to reach more people with God’s Word,” said Rich Bott, BRN President and CEO. “This powerful new FM station is a wonderful step forward to strengthen families and change lives with our format of Quality Bible Teaching, Christian News and Information.”

KJNW/Kansas City (Life 88.5)  hosted Brandon Heath for a concert at the Lansing Correctional Facility in Kansas City. Over 1,300 inmates heard the Gospel and more than 50 now know Jesus.

“We are called to go and make disciples of all nations, but it is easy to forget our own communities. And those who lack community.” said Jack Moore, Life 88.5’s community engagement specialist. “Life 88.5 wanted to serve these inmates so that those who lack hope in this life may receive hope for everlasting life. Fifty men received salvation right there in the prison yard.”

In the week leading up to the concert, Life 88.5 shared stories from prisoners who already had faith in Jesus, and asked listeners to pray for the inmates who would encounter the Gospel at the event. At the concert, Melony McKaye, Life 88.5’s program director, connected with a man named Oscar. “He got tears in his eyes and said he feels how much Jesus has changed his life. But being behind bars, he wondered how those he loved would know.” Oscar went on to explain that his daughter heard his story on Life 88.5.

Melony added, “Looking around the yard and knowing each person brought their own story, the Holy Spirit reminded me of the great need we all have for Jesus. As one Brandon Heath song states: ‘Some might say people never change. But I disagree. Take a look at me.’”

Making Waves, with a foreword by Dr. Erwin Lutzer, is a new book tellin the story of how God has used TWR, also known as Trans World Radio, over its 70-year broadcasting history.

“What we have tried to do through this book is to illustrate how God is big enough to take ordinary individuals from diverse backgrounds and to provide everything that is necessary to accomplish what he has called them to do,” wrote Lauren Libby, president and CEO of TWR.

The authors are journalists Richard Greene and John Lundy, each with close connections to TWR.

“We rejoice that TWR reaches millions of people with the gospel – more than we ever hear about,” wrote Lutzer, the pastor emeritus of Moody Church and a longtime radio Bible teacher.

Making Waves can be purchased online at twr.org/book.
