The longtime morning show on KHPE/Eugene (Hope 107.9) is changing. Married couple Paul & Debbie Hernandez will wrap up their show this summer, with Paul moving to a fulltime Sales position with the station. KHPE GM Scott Michaels now has several openings including Program Director, Promotions Director and Air Talent.

Congratulations to WCSG/Grand Rapids (91.3) for their 50-year anniversary. In the first quarter of 2023, WCSG continues its winning streak with the highest ratings among women 12+ and the highest total listenership in WCSG’s history. The stations cume has grown to over 200,000 weekly listeners.

“To see our listenership and influence grow over the last 50 years has been exciting!” said Alicia Wyant, executive director of WCSG. “Our focus is on providing an encouraging Christian Community, and our growth reflects our passionate investment in our listeners and mission.”

WCSG kicked off its 50th year celebration during its Spring Days of Giving fundraiser, with over 1200 listener families becoming involved. Other events include a special gala evening featuring artist Brandon Heath and a 50th celebration concert at VanAndel arena featuring MercyMe, Crowder and Andrew Ripp.


Local Christian station KSGL/Wichita, KS (900 AM and 105.7 FM) has been victim to thieves targeting the copper wire that supplies power to the station’s broadcast towers, causing significant disruption. The situation has not only left the station owner, Terry Atherton, scrambling for a solution but has also drawn the attention of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Fortunately, despite the thefts, the station has remained on the air however, the thefts have left Atherton unable to comply with the FAA’s requirement of properly illuminating the towers at night, a crucial safety measure for pilots. 


The 10th annual K-LOVE Fan Awards for 2023 have unveiled their nominees, with Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake taking the lead. Wickham has received an impressive five nominations, while Lake follows closely with four. This years K-LOVE Fan Awards will be hosted by CAIN, and take place on May 28, 2023, in Nashville at the Opry House. The TV broadcast will air June 2 on TBN.

The three-day “Fan Awards Weekend” includes an opening night “Kick-off Concert” on Friday featuring TobyMac as the headliner (accompanied by Colton Dixon, Katy Nichole, and Blessing Offor), followed by a Sunday morning worship service led by Chris Tomlin.
