WRVL/Lynchburg (The Journey) is once again voted Best Radio DJs in the annual Lynchburg Living Magazine Best Of edition. The online and print annual magazine asks readers to vote on different categories (Restaurants, realtors, auto repair, etc.…) and the team of Mark Edwards and Brittany Minard won the top honor in the DJ category.
The station has won the award each year dating back to 2018. Brittany said, “This year we had some fun with it and included our “changing of the banner ceremony” on the morning show and Facebook Live. Alex, one of our young listeners, was on the show and played the trumpet as the new banner was raised. It’s an honor to be recognized and we appreciate the listeners that voted for us.”
This year is the 10th Anniversary for Dallas based KATZ Radio. KATZ Radio is an internet-based radio station specializing in church music, gospel, and community-focused audio. KATZ radio operates independently, streaming local, preserved church music. For over years KATZ radio was heard on KKGM-AM/Dallas, before it was sold in 2019.
Cami McGraw tells HisAir, “We are celebrating this all year with the addition of several new programs and of course more music. I am working on a new program right now with a new co-host, Jeff Day, who has many years on the air with KCBI in Dallas! He has already done quite a bit of work with KATZ and is heard on the air at various times. But, our new program, “My Story, My Song” will start soon- Co-hosts are Jeff Day & Cami Bradley (that’s me), and featuring Minister of Encouragement- Dennis Swanberg!”
And, another program starting soon on KATZ will be running the audio portion of a historical, significant television program. It was one of the first TV programs in the south and southwest. Initially live, and later “tape”-delayed, this television program was produced at WBAP-TV, an NBC affiliate in Ft. Worth/Dallas. The program, “Christian Questions”, ran for 16 years as a moderated panel-show, fielding questions from television viewers, and getting answers from ministers of various Christian dominations. The program’s theme: “Whatever the problem, Christ is The Answer”.
