RadioAnalyzer welcomes industry veteran Scott Musgrave as part of the United States and Canada team.

Mikkel Ottesen Lønstrup, CEO & Co-Founder, RadioAnalyzer: “Scott’s unique blend of experience, relationships, and understanding of radio audiences both on air and “behind the scenes” make him our ideal partner as we continue to expand across North America,”.  “We’ve spent the last years growing audience share and engagement for successful stations around the world, and are excited to bring our suite of tools to even more broadcasters looking to grow, by optimizing content and music playlists using real-time behavioral data. We are sure Scotts expertise paired with our unique methodology will greatly benefit the radio industry in North America.”

Scott adds even more power to an already growing team in the U.S.: Jarrod Graetz, CEO of the Äudience Company represents RadioAnalyzer in the Christian– and non-profit sectors across North America, and the Musgrave appointment paves the way to build upon that presence.

Scott Musgrave: “RadioAnalyzer have been successful with the biggest European broadcasters for more than a decade, helping them grow and thrive, so this feels like the perfect time for US and Canadian radio to take advantage of their tools and methods. I honestly can’t wait to showcase them to the broadcasters here”.

Musgrave brings decades of leadership experience across the audio entertainment sector. Most recently he served as SVP, Client Solutions at Coleman Insights, where he led new business development initiatives spanning radio, podcasting, and music.

His background includes serving as Head of U.S. Radio for BDS Radio at Luminate, and 17 years with Arbitron (later Nielsen Audio), where he spent nine years as VP Sales/SVP General Manager overseeing the company’s radio station business. Musgrave has also held senior management and consultancy roles at several media organizations, further demonstrating his deep expertise and industry perspective.

The U.S. Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property held a hearing on December 9, 2025, reigniting a long-simmering debate over the American Music Fairness Act (AMFA), a bipartisan bill that would require terrestrial AM/FM radio stations to pay performance royalties to recording artists and copyright holders for airplay—ending a decades-old exemption in U.S. copyright law. Sponsored by Sens. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Alex Padilla (D-CA), along with Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) in the House, the legislation aims to align radio with digital streaming services, which already compensate performers, and would exempt small stations (under $1.5 million in annual revenue) with a flat fee of $500 or less

The hearing marks the first Senate discussion on radio royalties since 2009, amid intense lobbying: The Recording Industry Association of America spent $5.8 million in the first nine months of 2025, while SoundExchange invested $810,000. Broadcasters counter with the Local Radio Freedom Act, a non-binding resolution opposing new fees, now backed by 25 Senate and 215 House co-sponsors—nearly half the House.

The very first episode is with Rachael Lampa who signed a record deal at 14. After stepping away from music for a while she is back with chart topping songs that are ministering to people all over again
