Christian radio broadcasting continues across Russia and Ukraine by New Life Radio, despite daily bombing attacks on the city of Odessa where NLR is located. Hundreds of churches have been bombed throughout the country and communities are without pastors. There is a great void in Christian teaching available to these war-weary people who are asking the big questions about life and death, which only the Gospel can answer.  98% of communities in the country have no local evangelical Christian radio station.

As Ukraine has taken steps to end the influence of Russian language, media, and culture, NEW LIFE RADIO in Odessa Ukraine has now begun broadcasting in the Ukrainian language–called Radio Nove Zhitya, in order to provide a 24/7 Christian witness and bible teaching to thosands of cities and villages in Ukraine.

CRFR Director Dan Johnson says, “We are asking Christian radio stations in America and just 20 church congregations to consider giving Ukraine a wonderful Christmas gift by supporting this new radio service that costs $3500 per month. That’s just $150 a month for a nationwide Christian radio that can penetrate nearly any community for Christ. This amount will support three full time radio missions plus Internet broadcasting. With extra funding for a satellite radio channel ($1800/month), Nove Zhittya will be positioned to develop local FM radio affiliates across Ukraine once the war ends.”
