Northwestern Media is buying KURL/Billings (93.3) from Elenbaas Media for $350K. KURL will convert from commercial to non-commercial status at closing. Herb Elenbaas is the Station Manager and acquired the station in 1994.

KURL is a Class C1, 60kw @ 699ft.

WCVK/Bowling Green (Christian Family Radio) has been voted Best Local Radio Station in the Bowling Green Daily News’ “Best of Bowling Green” Awards.

“This first-ever honor for the station is a testament to the dedication of our talented team and the devotion of our loyal listeners. We are absolutely thrilled to receive this recognition from the community,” said Derek Gregory, Program Director.

Christian Family Radio has been a beacon of hope in the Bowling Green area since 1986. The media ministry remains committed to serving the community with purpose and passion.

On February 1, 2024, Vision Christian Radio/Queensland commemorates 25 years since its inception as Vision FM. The journey started when Max and Gwen Poulier volunteered to establish the inaugural Vision station at their residence in Beaudesert, Queensland. Utilizing a one-watt transmitter on 88.0 FM, the foundation was laid, and to this day, Gwen continues to host Vision Radio from her home.

Phil Edwards, CEO of Vision Christian Media said, “It was pretty humble beginnings, and it was a great partnership in those early days that would then be replicated throughout the years with many others all around Australia.” 

Today, Vision is heard in over 800 locations across Australia, on AM, FM and on DAB.

Positive Alternative Radio station WPER/Fredericksburg welcomed 900 women to its Encouragement Café: Held By His Hand conference on Saturday, January 27th. Speakers, artists, worship, and shopping engaged all attended, providing hope and encouragement as part of the station’s mission to change the world by inspiring people to live passionately for Jesus Christ.


WAXU/Troy AL (91.1) made the flip to The JOY FM today. In Oct 2023 American Family Association sold the station to Radio Training Network (RTN) for $50,000.

HisAir FLASHBACK – Jan 31, 2018 – Trans World Radio (TWR) is broadcasting from its new tower on the island nation of Bonaire in the southern Caribbean. TWR has been broadcasting Christian programming from Bonaire since 1964.  Yesterday’s first broadcast from the new transmitter marks the culmination of five years of work. The new Nautel NX400 is a 450kW, 800kW, three-pattern transmission system that will extend the range of Shine 800 AM to more countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
