WGTS/Wash DC welcomes Brandi Lanai back to the station to cover the early morning hours. Lanai first started voice-tracking for WGTS in 2014. In April 2021, Lanai moved to the Washington, D.C., area to host the evening show live. She held that position until the end of 2021 when she moved back to Southern California to care for her family. Now, she returns to host weekdays from midnight to 5:00 a.m. She replaces the syndicated ‘Scott and Sam’ show.

“Brandi is super-talented and knows how to reach listeners in a very personal way. We were sad to see her leave in 2021, but we’re even more excited to have her back on the team,” said program director Brennan Wimbish.

“I love the WGTS 91.9 family, and I’m so excited to get the opportunity to serve listeners in the Nation’s Capital once again,” said Lanai.

Registration starts TOMOROW for Momentum 2024 happening in Orlando this May 29-31. Don’t wait because the early bird rate is good TOMORROW January 17th only.

HisAir is sorry to report Songwriter, producer and co-founder of Red Street Records Don Koch has passed away.  In 2022 Koch was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and a tumor in his brain.

Songs written by Koch include “In Christ Alone” made famous by Michael English, the Christmas favorite “A Strange Way To Save The World” originally by 4-Him, “Mercy Came Running” from Phillips, Craig and Dean, and more recently he was nominated for a DOVE AWARD for co-writing “Child Of The King” performed by Joseph Habedank.  He is also a co-writer on Jim & Melissa Brady’s current single, “Ever Present, Ever Faithful.”

Don Koch made a significant impact on the sound of Christian music.  Please be in prayer for the Koch family.
