KTIS/Minneapolis APD/midday host Jen Driskill has been named a “Women to Watch” by Radio Ink.
Jenn joined KTIS in Sep 2023 after spending 15 years at KSBJ/Houston hosting middays. Before Christian Radio she worked stations in Kansas City.
Radio Ink says “Driskill thrives in Christian radio’s unique space, where connection is more about encouragement than celebrity. “In this format, many of our biggest artists aren’t household names to someone new to the station,” she explains. “So I focus on helping her – our target listener – grow in her faith and find encouragement in her day.”
New Life Radio International (NLR), a Christian radio network in Odessa Ukraine broadcasting in Russian and Ukrainian to two warring nations, is seeking two or three Christian builders in America with carpet stretching experience to come on a 10 day short term missions trip to help complete their radio studios new facility.
NLR President Dan Johnson says, “Our goal is to complete our studios for an initial broadcast on Christmas Eve, so we hope to have mission carpenters come around November 20 to help us. Local professionals in Odessa have no experience with this and the job of carpeting six studios is complicated. This work is critical so we can complete the installation of our broadcast furniture and equipment in time.”
New Life Radio will provide housing in Odessa and bus transportation from Chisinau, Moldova to Odessa. Missionaries will need to provide their own airfare from the US to Chisinau, as well as food expenses. NLR staff will provide support and assistance during their stay. WAWZ/New York (Star 99.1) welcomes Dave Moore to the position of Afternoon Drive Personality. STAR 99.1 PD Rick Hall says, “When you have the opportunity to add a talent like Dave Moore to your team, you don’t think. You do! We’re excited to welcome Dave back to STAR 99.1.”
This is a return home for Dave, who worked as an on-air personality at STAR 99.1 from 2006 to 2011. “I remember leaving STAR 99.1 about 5 or so years ago, driving down the street with the station in my rearview, and thinking to myself that I’d be back. STAR is home, and there’s no place like home,” said Dave.
