July 2024’s counts show religion now just 12 stations behind country (#1), with steady gains since February 2024, including adding nine new outlets in July alone. Year-over-year, religion has brought in 27 additional stations, with 14 since January.

For fourth-place CCM not only adds 22 stations since last July and 14 since January but also steadily growing since last October.

As reported last week on HisAir KNWI/Des Moines (Life 107.1) introduced a new morning show this week. Kristy Heilman was added to the morning show to co-host with Taylor Hohulin on “The Breakfast Blend.”

Kristy joined KNWI in June 2022 as a part-time announcer. In November 2022 she was hired full-time for evenings and Creative Services Assistant.

Vision Christian Radio/Queensland launched another station in Barraba, New South Wales. This is Vision’s 91st radio station out of the 100 stations 2021-2023 project and the 830th station overall.

Former KROI/Houston PD and talent coach Terri Thomas has been named a finalist for the Texas Radio Hall of Fame Class of 2024. Terri has nearly 20 years of experience In Texas radio, On Air, as PD, and Operations Manager across multiple brands.

Focus on the Family’s Adventures in Odyssey is celebrating 1000 episodes on August 2 and 3 at the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs. There are 6,000 fans from all over coming to experience the best thing since the Wod-Fam-Choc-Sod. Fans will step into the town of Odyssey, Whit’s End, and McAlister Park as they encounter some of their favorite places and characters from the storied audio drama. Plus, fan-favorite actors will perform an all-new story live on stage.

Adventures in Odyssey, or simply Odyssey, is an Evangelical Christian radio drama and comedy series created and produced by Focus on the Family. Aimed at families with children age 12 and younger, the series first aired in 1987 as a 13-episode pilot called Family Portraits.

HisAir NEWS FLASHBACK – July 30, 2019

PraiseLive had added Joseph Kebbie to the team as their Africa Director. COO Tim McDermott says “Joseph is a veteran broadcaster and well respected all over Africa. We are delighted he is on the team.” Joseph will be helping find more FM affiliates and downloads for PraiseLive. This past Saturday, PraiseLive added its 6th FM African affiliate in Tamale, Ghana – a very sensitive area.
