Kinship Radio/Mankato is planning to expand its reach in Minnesota and Iowa by constructing six new stations over the next two years. One of the new stations KJLW/Winnebago, IA, will be a Spanish-speaking radio station on 89.1 FM, and will be built with a budget of $111,000. Along with Winnebago, the other five full-power radio stations will be constructed in Marshall, Redwood Falls, Hutchinson, Hampton, and Osage, Iowa.
To fund the construction of these new stations, Kinship Radio is planning to hold a “Spring Up” fundraising campaign across its entire network on Wednesday and Thursday. The parent organization, Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting, is raising $350,000 for the six new stations.
Beth Crosby, Kinship Radio Program Director, stated in a news release that being able to reach their Hispanic neighbors with the gospel of Jesus Christ in their own language is a need in the region and is a true blessing to be able to meet that need through the ministry of Kinship Radio.
Since its inception in 1983 Kinship Radio has grown to operate eight full-power stations and 14 translator frequencies in Minnesota and Iowa.
Some of Christian music’s top artists will all be under the same roof, for one evening at a Family Life Radio/Tucson Fest held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale AZ. Headlining the event are for King + Country, Cece Winans plus Pat Barrett, Andrew Ripp, Johnathan Traylor and Central Live.
“We are excited for the opportunity to host this event for our listeners, connecting them with their favorite artists! It will be an evening filled with fun, fellowship and fantastic music,” Mike Kankelfritz, FLR’s chief broadcast engagement officer and morning show host.
Moody Radio/Nashville morning hosts Dawn & Steve have a new producer. Stephen Briggs is from London and is a film guy by trade.
Dawn tells HisAir, “He’s a great addition, we keep sharing the Gospel and are thankful to do so.”
HisAir is deeply saddened to Charles Stanley, longtime pastor, author, passed away today at age 90.
