KWND/Springfield (The Wind) radio veteran Cedric Randle has announced his departure from where he has served for the past 27 years. Cedric has been The Wind’s midday host for the past three years.

Station Manager Kyle Dowden says, “Cedric has a long history in Springfield radio, dating back to 1981. As a result, he has become one of the most recognizable voices in the Missouri Ozarks. We’re going to miss him and his dedication to the Lord’s work with us.”

Saturday (4/15) will be his final air shift. A permanent replacement will be named at a later time.

Family Life/Bath, NY PD Dave Margalotti tells HisAir Downloads of Family Life’s original podcasts reached a new high last month, topping 18,600 downloads. The ministry’s digital music streams continue to grow too with more than 2.5 million listening occasions each month.

Also, The Family Life spring sharathon begins tomorrow and runs through Saturday.

Dave adds, “We’re excited to see how the Lord works through the hearts of His people and how He will continue to provide for the ministry’s needs as He has done so faithfully for the almost 40 years of Family Life’s radio outreach.”

TroyResearch celebrates 25 years helping radio stations achieve, and over achieve, their ratings and revenue goals. Bill Troy got the idea for Internet based research in 1997 and wrote the software while at Strategic Media Research in Chicago. At that time few radio stations had websites and few PD’s had emails. In April 1998 Jonathan Little joined Bill.

Troy specializes in music research and perceptual studies for programmers and Brand Awareness Studies for sales teams conducting custom research and supplementing the research with coaching and consultation.

Jonathan says, “These two research questions have been asked over the years by people who were interested in improving and growing themselves or their businesses. “How are we doing” and “How can we get better?”  Our research for radio is built on a foundation of those two questions.
