The JOY FM/Georgia promotions director Benji Shepherd has been promoted to Jacksonville Market Manager and Program Director of RTN’s online station LF Radio.
Benji has been with RTN since 2013 and says, We’re so excited to get there and see what the Lord is going to do! …but, I’ll never forget where I came from. My work family even gave me something nice to hang on my wall to help me remember. Every step of the way His sovereign hand has been in it. LaGrange, GA has been my home my whole life and it will always be my hometown. Lots of memories were made here. I’ll miss my family and friends, too, but you can count on us coming back to visit.”
Current Georgia listener engagement specialist Amy de Graaff will be taking Benji’s place as Georgia promotions director.
Power of Worship Radio has put an over the air station on at 92.5FM on the island of Grenada. The new station at 92.5 went on the air and is operated by Anton Strachan who runs online station Power of Worship Radio.
Anton, who grew up in Grenada, has a heart for the country and tells HisAir, “The process to obtain a broadcast license took 4 years to complete. We received the license in Feb this year and are on the air.”
The new station at 92.5 FM has a power of 1kw.
PulseFM/Australia says it’s been awarded a full license by ACMA to broadcast over the air at 89.9 FM in the Windsor RA1 license area.
PulseFM has been operating on a temporary FM license since December 5, 2021 and streaming 24/7.
Chair Richard Griffiths says “The Board and management of PulseFM are excited by the ACMA announcement and we feel privileged to be able to broadcast to our community under a full license.”
Curb Word artists For King & Country have announced that they will be releasing their second full-length film shortly called Unsung Hero. The film is set to be released on June 17, 2023. Joel Smallbone will play the part of his father David.
Joel & Luke wrote the song “Unsung Hero” that’s on the latest album What Are We Waiting For?
“This is a film about our Mom and motherhood, family and miracles, sacrifice and faith… A film for YOU…It’s been a pretty outrageous undertaking these last few months, but it’s a story we’re incredibly proud of, and we can’t wait to share it with you” according to fK&C.
The brothers released their first full-length feature film, Priceless, in October 2016 about human trafficking. Joel starred in the film as well, and his brother Ben Smallbone directed it.
HisAir is sorry to report the passing of CCM/Southern Gospel icon Armond Morales yesterday.
Armond Morales is an original member of The Imperials / Classic Imperials, and was at the helm of management for 40 years. His smooth rich tone help defined the group’s sound throughout its long history. Armond’s tenure includes travel to 21 countries, 42-recorded projects, 17 Dove Awards, and 4 Grammy Awards.
Armond’s gospel music career, culminating with his induction into The Gospel Music Hall of Fame set the pace for this historical group to give millions an opportunity to enjoy one of the nation’s legendary iconic members of Christian Music.
