As the Christian Radio Industry mourns the loss of Randy Zachary yesterday, Family Radio President Tom Evans has published a tribute.

“It is with deep sadness and bewilderment that we must share that our friend and afternoon host, Randy Zachary, has gone home to be with the Lord. We have mixed emotions as we mourn the loss of our brother but celebrate his life—a life devoted to loving others and loving our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Read the full tribute HERE.

Most recently Randy was afternoon host on Family Radio.

Family Radio PD Vance Dillard told HisAir, “Randy helped us transform Family Radio. He loved talking with listeners, hearing their stories and sharing Jesus. He has stepped into eternity. We will miss him greatly but we are rejoicing with his promotion.”

Prior to joining Family Radio Randy was with i:58:10 Media as a Fundraising Host and Creative Director.  Previously he and his wife Monica hosted afternoons at WBGL/Champaign exiting in June 2017 to become Senior Pastor at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Coarsegold, CA.

Please keep Randy’s wife Monica, family, and friends in prayer during this difficult time.

HisAir is sorry to report the passing of Radio Guide Publisher/Owner Ray C. Topp.

Ray’s wife Rita says, “Ray considered all his colleagues he partnered with on Radio Guide and Media Magazine his friends and spoke warmly about everyone. He worked tirelessly for nearly40 years on his publications and enjoyed meeting and working with those that shared his passion for Radio and Broadcasting.”

The November/December 2022 issue will be the last publication for Radio Guide.

Rita adds, “I will be holding a memorial for Ray in the next few months. I will send additional information when we have a date and time arranged. My family and I would like to welcome all his friends and colleagues who wish to share in the celebration of Ray’s life.
