WLJA/North Georgia (101.1 The Pulse) announced that Griffin Adkins, former Assistant Program Director, morning show producer, and syndicated host at WFSH/Atlanta (104.7 The Fish) has officially joined the station’s on-air lineup.
Adkins will co-host The Morning Pulse with Dan & Griffin alongside Dan Ratcliffe, airing weekday mornings and serving listeners across North Georgia with uplifting, faith-forward country music and meaningful conversation.
Griffin joined The Pulse team in June, overseeing promotions and assisting with programming. This move marks his official addition to the daily on-air schedule. Griffin and Dan previously worked together at WFSH and are reuniting to bring a fun, engaging, and informative morning show to listeners across the region.
In addition to his on-air role, Griffin will take on expanded programming and brand oversight responsibilities for The Pulse.

As the Christmas season ushered in a time of giving, KTIS/Minneapolis/St. Paul once again stepped up to shine the light of Christ in the Twin Cities through its annual Christmas Blessing initiative. Now in its fourth year, this tradition of giving matched listeners’ heartfelt nominations with generous community support to meet the real needs of 11 local families facing significant challenges this year.
One powerful story came in response to a devastating car accident Luke experienced in early November. Luke, a dedicated lineman and father of four, was paralyzed from the chest down. While his wife and children are healing from minor injuries, the family is now facing the difficult task of adjusting their home and lifestyle to accommodate Luke’s new reality. Through Christmas Blessing, the family received critical financial assistance to install a ramp and begin modifying their bathroom, giving them a sense of dignity, stability, and hope.
“It always blows me away seeing God’s hand on Christmas Blessing,” said 98,5 KTIS Listener Engagement Director Amy Mulvihill. “The families are all experiencing need in different ways, but God’s sweet reminder to them that He sees them and loves them shines through each story in a beautiful way.”
The ongoing impact of Christmas Blessing continues to grow. Since it launched in 2022, the program has reached nearly 50 families in the Twin Cities area, demonstrating the stations commitment to caring for the Twin Cities, and sharing God’s love.

National Radio DJ Day to all the brothers and sisters serving the Lord in Christian Radio worldwide… It’s celebrated on January 20th to honor the legacy of Alan Freed, who popularized “rock and roll” and died on this date in 1965, making it a day to appreciate all DJs for their art of music mixing and curating sounds for radio and events.
“The first disc jockey was an experiment on the airwaves. In 1909, sixteen-year-old Ray Newby was a student under the supervision of Charles “Doc” Herrold at Herrold College of Engineering and Wireless. He played the first records over the airwaves before the word disc jockey even existed. What started as an experiment from the Garden City Bank Building where the college was located in San Fernando, California, was soon being replicated by radio broadcasters across the country. Initially, Newby primarily broadcast his news, music, and entertainment live.”
