Eric Johnson has been hired as the new Operations Manager at Kinship Radio/Mankato, MN.
Most recently Eric was Operations Manager and morning host at Moody Radio South Florida. He exited when Moody Radio transitioned to national programming in May this year. He was with Moody Radio 14 years.
Eric told HisAir today, “I am looking forward to working with the team at Kinship. They are great people who connect with the communities they reach with God given passion. There is a lot of kingdom work to be done and I am ready to roll up my sleeves and get to it.”
Eric’s first day at Kinship Radio is Sep 15th.

The National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) joins believers worldwide in mourning the passing of Charlie Kirk, Salem Radio host and dynamic communicator, and a tireless advocate for faith and freedom.

Also the NRB will officially open its new, permanent headquarters on Capitol Hill. The Christian broadcast association says the building will be dedicated during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held this Friday, Sept. 12, at 10 a.m. The new HQ is located at 800 Maryland Avenue NE in Washington, D.C.
Northwestern Media’s Faith Podcast Network has announced the principal cast for “THE CHRIST,” a large-scale dramatized podcast that brings the story of Jesus to vivid, cinematic sound. The 4-part series will debut the week of Easter 2026 on all major podcast platforms and across Northwestern Media’s 15-station radio network.
Headlining the ensemble is Emmy–winner Tom Pelphrey as Jesus, Paul Walter Hauser as John the Baptist, David Oyelowo as Pontius Pilate, and John Rhys-Davies as the series Narrator.
“We set out to create the most immersive, soul-stirring audio experience of the Gospel ever produced,” said Karisa Rogers, manager of the Faith Podcast Network. “This extraordinary cast brings both dramatic weight and genuine faith to the greatest story ever told—the story of Jesus Christ. TWR (Trans World Radio) is commemorating a significant milestone today: it’s the 51st anniversary of broadcasts from the Roumoules radio station. These broadcasts have enabled the gospel message to reach countless listeners across borders and barriers.

HisAir is saddened to report Barry Thompson Sr., the founder of KAJN/Lafayette, LA passed away on Tuesday, September 9, He was 87.
Thompson launched KAJN (102.9) in 1977, where it was owned and operated by Agape Broadcasters Inc. The station serves Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, and Baton Rouge.

WAYR/Jacksonville (Way Radio) now has a third frequency on the air as 104.9 FM went live this past weekend. The new translator at 104.9 will rebroadcast the Bible teaching format from AM 550, which covers all of the metro area.
