Nik Curtis Beal from Bandkind tells HisAir Audio Adrenaline founder/frontman Mark Stuart has been hit by a semi truck in Nairobi. Nik, pictured with Mark, worked music for Audio Adrenaline in the 1990s and has partnered with Stuart on his latest endeavor with vocal group Anthem Lights, tells HisAir that Mark is currently in a Nairobi hospital with multiple broken bones.

Mark was raised in Haiti, is son to missionary parents.  He later founded Haitian based orphanage(s) and The Hands & Feet Project.  Mark lost his voice due to an incurable Neurological condition, and is author of the book “Losing My Voice to Find It:  How A Rock Star Discovered His Greatest Purpose” (Thomas Nelson, 2019).  Prayers of healing for Mark’s broken bones and wisdom for Nairobi doctors as they care for his immediate needs.

WGTS/Wash DC afternoon co-host Stacey Stone went to the National Association of Broadcasters Studio this past week. She was joined by Guy Lambert from WPGC/Wash DC, and they recorded on-camera segments for the Marconi Radio Awards Finalist broadcast.

Stacey tells HisAir, “This is the first time the NAB is using on-air talent to announce the finalists and it was an incredible honor.”

Stacey’s husband & co-host Johnny Stone was there as her biggest cheerleader.

WGTS won two NAB Marconi Radio Awards in 2021 for Religious Station of the Year and Best Radio Podcast of the Year for “We Need To Talk.” You can watch the announcements live on Tuesday, July 25th at 1 p.m. ET at nab.org/Marconis.
