Regarding the news on HisAir this week about Hope Media Group streamlining operations to Houston, HMG offered the following:
“Michael Tedesco recently concluded his time as Vice President of Hope Events as part of a strategic shift in direction for the department. His position was eliminated. Michael served Hope Media Group faithfully for over five years, including relocating from WayFM Portland to Houston two years ago. He can be reached at tedescomichael77@gmail.com. Hope Events continues as an active part of Hope Media Group. Moving forward, concert partnerships will be led by Rebecca Jones, Senior Manager of Hope Events. Rebecca will be working closely with concert promoters and key ministry partners as the department focuses on a more streamlined, partnership-driven approach. While Hope Events will still be involved in select concerts, the new strategy prioritizes live event collaborations that align with HMG’s broader content vision.”
In March this year HMG announced plans to expand its presence in the Houston area with the opening of its new Ministry & Media Center. At that time it was also announced that, “Over the next two years, HMG is projected to expand its portfolio of offerings and bring at least 50 positions to its new, state of the art Houston headquarters funded by generous donors, with the capacity to hold more than 220 team members alone. This move celebrates HMG’s ultimate vision to streamline operations, go from nine national offices to two hubs, and strategically increase content to engage more listeners.”

This week, NRB President/CEO Troy A. Miller took to Capitol Hill to advocate for the passage of the bipartisan AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act of 2025. In a piece titled, “Religious Broadcasters Step Up Effort To Secure AM Radio In All Vehicles,” Inside Radio covered NRB’s advocacy efforts for AM radio:
“At the 2024 NRB International Christian Media Convention, President Trump used his appearance to throw his support behind ensuring AM remains in vehicles. … The biggest challenge for the radio industry may be legislative inertia, not support for the proposed AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act. … The list of supporters in the House currently sits … well more than the majority needed to pass it.”

After 23.5 years Norm McDonald has left EMF. He has joined Jessup University in Rocklin, CA in the Digital Communication, Art and Design department.
Norm says, “So much life has happened in those years. My kids have been born and grown to adults. Lisa and I have lived in 5 houses. And I have designed billboards, magazines, t-shirts, vehicle wraps, event halls, posters and so much more. But best of all I have worked with so many amazing people with gracious hearts and passion to see people grown closer to God.
