The Gospel Music Association announces PLG artist Tauren Wells will be returning as host and performer for the 55th Annual GMA Dove Awards for his second consecutive year. The GMA Dove Awards will happen live and in person on October 1, 2024 at the Allen Arena in Nashville, TN.
“Last year’s Dove Awards was such an incredible experience, we’ve decided to run it back!” says Tauren Wells. “I’m so excited to return as host for this year’s Dove Awards. It’s going to be a great night!”

Has Will Smith has moved into the realm of gospel music? In a Billboard interview Smith explained that he felt compelled to co-write the new track “You Can Make It” and hints he will be making more Christian-tinged tunes in the near future. The song has already charted at number 3 in the USA on the Hot Gospel Songs chart.
Opening up to Billboard, he said, “I was really talking to myself. To see so many people resonate with the intention gives me a clear North Star for this next chapter of my creative life.”
First announcing the song last month, Will said via Instagram, “Through some of my darkest moments, music has always been there for me – to lift me and help me grow.”
The dictatorship of Nicaragua President Daniel Ortega and his wife, Vice President Rosario Murillo, canceled the legal status of Radio María Nicaragua along with that of several evangelical churches. The decision was detailed in ministerial agreement published July 9 in the official government newspaper La Gaceta.
In addition to Radio María, also named in the notice were the Prince of Peace Christian Church House of Prayer Association, the Association of Evangelical Churches of Nicaragua Jacob’s Well, the Apostolic Ministry Pentecost Prophetic Fire Association, and eight other institutions.
The ministerial agreement states that these organizations have not reported “for periods of between 2 and 26 years their financial statements” with “detailed breakdowns of income and expenses,” which hinders “regulation and oversight” by the Ministry of the Interior’s General Directorate of Registration and Regulation of Nonprofit Organizations.
