Correction from Thursday Newsletter – WPOZ/Orlando (Z88.3) afternoon show producer Joel Darcey is getting hi own show. Joel will be on the air 10p-2a weeknights replacing Alana who moves to 2am-5:30am. Alana was previously on the air 10p-5:30a. Joel has been at WPOZ for the last 3 years producing the afternoon show with Shadow & Grace.
The Christian Music Trade Association (CMTA) is urging the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to treat AM and FM radio as separate regulatory issues as part of the agency’s still-pending 2022 Quadrennial Review.
In comments filed with the FCC, the groups argued that current ownership rules should continue to protect local commercial FM ownership limits, while restrictions on the number of AM stations a single company can own in a market should be eliminated entirely.

The program now airs weekday mornings at 7:00 a.m. ET, bringing listeners a fast-moving mix of political commentary, cultural conversation, humor, and audience interaction focused on the issues shaping everyday American life.

Good News Network has filed a $725,000 deal to buy WMXG/Charlotte (99.3) from Urban One.
North Country Radio has filed a $10,000 deal to buy three FM translators from Mars Hill Broadcasting. They include the Saranac Lake, NY-licensed W254CY at 98.7 FM; the Long Lake, NY-licensed W250AD at 97.9 FM; and the Ogdensburg, NY-licensed W263CE at 100.5 FM.
First Dallas Media has closed an $850,000 deal to buy classic rock “102.5” KMAD/Whitesboro, TX from Connoisseur Media.
Community Broadcasting has closed a $150,000 deal to buy the currently-silent KZRB/New Boston, TX (103.5) from B&H Broadcasting Systems.

KCBI/Dallas afternoon co-host Lauree Austin is joining KLOVE as midday host on the air from 12-4pm ET. Lauree joined KCBI in 2017 as midday host and moved to afternoons in 2019 teaming with Doug Hannah in Oct 2020. Prior to joining KCBI Austin was with i58:10 Media in Portland, OR.
“I am beyond excited to join the K-LOVE team!” Lauree said. “Isn’t that totally God, to take this girl off the foreign mission field and put her behind the mic to continue to share the good news all over this country and around the world?!”
