KSBJ/Houston air talent Denise Pagano tells HisAir she is stepping away from the station, effective December 12, 2025, to pursue new opportunities in radio and voice tracking. Since July 2022 Denise has anchored middays on KSBJ.
“After prayer and reflection, I feel God is leading me into a new season,” Denise says. “I’m grateful for my time at KSBJ and would love to bring my voice to a station looking for a fresh, strong female presence.”
Previous to moving back to Houston she was midday host for 2 years at WPOZ/Orlando (Z88.3). Before joining WPOZ she was with KSBJ, mainstream country KILT/Houston, & mainstream CHR KHMX/Houston. Her Christian radio experience also includes Moody Radio/Chicago. Denise started her radio career at Chicago’s Home for Jazz, WDCB. Shortly after, she did weekends at WYLL/Chicago, mornings on WCFL/Chicago, and Mornings at Country WXXQ/Rockford (Q98.5FM).

American Family Association has acquired KJMC/Des Moines (89.3) from Minority Communications for $1.125 million. The purchase marks AFA’s entry into the Des Moines market; the organization already operates religious stations in the Waterloo-Cedar Rapids, Mason City, Dubuque, and Burlington areas. Griffin Media Brokers represented the seller in the transaction.
RCS Southeast Market Manager Jim Colley has passed away. In 1993 Jim began his career with RCS and remained a dedicated employee for over thirty-two years. He recently announced his planned retirement at the end of December 2025 at the age of 85 and was honored by his company at the annual sales meeting in Mobile, AL

The “BOOST RADIO” network, based at KXBS/St. Louis (95.5), has expanded to Memphis, launching on EMF’s 96.7 W244BY and 94.9 WWAI-HD2/Bartlett, TN. Gateway Creative Broadcasting operates “BOOST” on EMF-owned translators in several cities, including Chicago, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Portland, and Fayetteville, with plans to expand to Austin, TX, and Lansing, MI.
BOOST PD Mike Couchman tells HisAir, “We’re excited to introduce Memphis to BOOST Radio, and grateful to partner with K-Love & Air1 to reach more souls for Jesus.”
